DIY Blazer – Nikki Blazer Pattern // Top – H&M // Pants – Trunk Club
I’m so excited for my new Nikki Blazer pattern to go live today!
If I could, I’d wear a blazer every day of the year. It’s the perfect layering piece to jazz up any outfit, for just about any occasion. They can be styled with jeans, dress pants, dresses, jumpsuits…everything! There is literally nothing that a well fitted blazer can do.
Nikki is a collarless and buttonless blazer with sleek design lines and a slimming and lengthening silhouette. She’s not meant to hide your outfit, so she has no buttons and is not drafted to close. So let you beautiful layering blouse or dress be seen!
This version of my Nikki Blazer was made with a textured denim that I found at Joann’s a while back. I made a pair of Percy Jeans that was featured recently in SEWN Magazine. And I made my Nikki Blazer with the leftover fabric.
I wanted to emphasize the texture with some stripes, and these high waist paper bag pants I got from my Trunk Club stylist was PERFECT. I broke up all of the blue in my outfit with my new favorite mauve v-neck tee from H&M. (Seriously, H&M has THEE best tees, which is why I have never bothered to make my own.)
