DIY Crop Top and Wide Leg Pants | Simplicity 1283 and Vogue 9075

Simplicity 1283 and Vogue 9075

Patterns: Vogue 9075, Simplicity 1283Ā  | Fabrics: Top, Pants (similar), Accent (similar)

I could not wait to photograph this outfit! With each item I make, I enjoy styling it and working it into my personal style and wardrobe.

I’d actually made this top earlier this summer and never got around to wearing it.

You’ve seen the pants pattern in my popular culotte jumper post here. This time, I customized it to add some drama and flare. I added a faux leather waistband and pockets to these pants from fabric I purchased at Joann’s. I couldn’t find it online, so I linked to similar.

The actual pants were made from a stretch cotton denim from Mood Fabrics that is now sold out. I linked to a similar fabric type and color up top, as well.

I lengthened them below the knee to really take advantage of the wide opening because I wanted it very dramatic and I just love how it came out!

I wanted the drama of these pants to be the focus. I styled this outfit with black sunnies and understated jewelry. This is the perfect date night outfit for me.
