Tutorial: 1-Hour DIY Midi Dress

Hey! Today’s tutorial is the tutorial for the black and white striped DIY Midi Dress I posted last week.

The fabric I used in the tutorial is from Micheal Levine’s and can be found here. I picked mine up during my visit to their store during Mimi G.’s recent sewing conference.

The first time I made this dress (posted here) was with a medium weight ponte de roma, but I much prefer a lighter jersey like the one I used in this tutorial. It fits better and feels cooler because it is so hot in Texas right now!

What’s great about this dress is that it can easily go from the office to happy hour. Just throw on a sweater or blazer for your 9-5 and take it off and grab some drinks with the girls after work! You know I’m all about versatility and maximizing.

Check out the tutorial and tag me on Instagram (@stylesewme) to show off your creations!

I have one teensy favor to ask of you. If you like this post, pick one of your favorite pictures here and share this post to your social media! Let’s share DIY with the world!

Please and thank you, kindly!
